Finding Peace, Love, and Joy

Haille Selasie and Lion of Judah

Rastafarian
Even if some sources said that Rastafarian deeming that God is a spirit and that spirit was manifested in King H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I, Jesus was a black man, and another interfering believe with what i trust right now, but im geting interested with their lifestyle. Vegetarian, non-chemical tasted food, cannabis consumption for health and religious purposes, avoidance alcohol, and dreadlocks. They convinced enough that the cannabis used was already written on their holy book "Holy Pibby", its said that in Psalm 104:14: "He cause the grass for the cattle and herb for the service of man." Then they used it for their main activity, the reasoning (kinda a small group discussion while passing the joint to the others) and the nyabinghi (dance in a rasta holiday or special occasions), they usually did the reasoning in the day time and nyabinghi in the night (what a live dude!). They believe that theres a command in the holy book that not to cut your hair, so their hair become a dreadlock that representing strength, Africa, Ethiopia, and the Lion of Judah, naturalness and simplicity. They just eat Ital food, is food which is completely natural (not canned and free of chemicals and preservatives) and eaten as raw as possible and reject alcohol, they said alcohol just make you stupid, herb help you open up your mind and assist in the reasoning. What a healthy, fresh, and far away from hypocrites isn't it?

Where am i? What time is it? Whats your name? How long till i get there? How could i get there? Do you now where is it? Do you speak Indonesian? May i sleep in your place tonite? Thx.... Thats all words that you would heard if you have a trip out of nowhere and full of strangers. Bckpackers, yes i done my cheap way trip to paradise island in south of Java Island (inspired by Into The Wilde :p). Placed below the Eastern Java, below Malang exactly. This island called "Sempu Island". After facing a thousand obstacle finally whe get there by the cheap ways. It was an amazing island dude, white sand and blue water, also theres no police :D Feels like all those obstacle was worth enough with all those view. Its kinda a lake that filled with sea waters just like Phi Phi Island. Some said it was The Indonesian Phi Phi. Theres no permanent building overthere so we should build a tent if we wanted to stay. So peacefull and natural...

The result was it brought us a blend of all those things above, smooth tunes from KOC and the ghetto voices from Snoop Dogg and Pharrell.....

Dazed and Confused with Led Zeppelin

After a long tripp cruisin along with Pink Floyd, now i get infected with another 60's band, Led Zeppelin. Heard it a lot from my friend but i didnt pay much atention before, after my last mushies trip i realized how amazing they are. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham they were the fuckin evil dude, playin with some blues, folk, psychedelic, and rock blended up in a tune with the Plant's lugged vocal drag us into their Zeppelin's mothership just like in their song called "I Can't Quit You Baby", some of their music were blanked with dark ambiance just like in the "Kashmir" song, their slashing guitar distortion just like in the "Dazed and Confused", and their controversial song "Stairway to Heaven" that have a secret message if you play it backwards, damn dude this band was just too sensational till this ages. Even Rolling Stone love and admitted their art.
Imagine watch their gigs on a big wide field full of shirtless people with some tie dye paint in their body, a lot of mud everywhere, full of peace and love, weeds and lsd.......

DnB For Drum N Bass

"What a strange beat and how to dance with it?" The first things appear on my mind when i heard the DnB genres. Considering that its hard to find a party with this kind of music in my hood. Based on the wikipedia, dnb was emerged in the mid 90's, a fast breakbeat usually around 160-190 with a heavy bass-lines with a ittle reggae dub touch and another electronic instrument. Its pretty famous in London Dance Scene, they often throwing some Dnb party with some superb Dnb djs such as Rusko, Caspa, Benga, and many others. Whe could look nine ways to "Javabass" if we tryin to searchin some local artsist that played some dnb. Formed in Jakarta on the late 2000 and stright start kickin some party goers b-ass until now. They did some annual dnb party called PHUNKTION since then. Their mission was create a headstrong junglist community and spread the drumz all over da floor. DJ Random, Jerome, Celcius, Sketch, DFMC, MC Drift thats the trouble maker :D BIG respect for all of you sir!

uplifting, upbeat, enlightening set :

Dj Hogi From Future 10 Set

Who doesn't know him?the man behind the famous and hip event Turn On Plastic and his own record label "Future 10". Hogi is the man! In this set he played from chillin up classic deep housy sounds to the electronic twisting tunes just like his typical sets (a little spacey at 44.oo). And this one was his old sets from the late 07.Big cheers for Dj Hogi and Future 10!

Sunrise,,Let The Sun Rise Once Again

Cold, fresh air, bird's tweet, church's chime, a cup of hot coffee, short pants, tees, cardigan, slipper, fresh mind, no fuckin problem in our mind, quiet, alone in the rooftop, smiling face, slow heartbeat, deep breath, a little bit windy, dark blue skies, light blue skies, yellow sun shine, sun shine start to cover up all over the world surface slowly and we start to feel some warm air in our skin. Is there somethin in the world could be better than that moment?

the soundtrack :
Rangga Electroscope - Autumn Leaves
i won't describe why i choose this song, use your own imagination folks.

Sunday Evening Disco With Funk and Soul

Whose The Artist???

Peeps, just found a video with a greatgreatgreat classy tune thats still lingering on my mind all the time. The vid called "baby all the time" but theres no explanation bout the artist :'(

mp3 : baby all the time

here's the vid :

Ken Adhitya, Another Local Talented Artist

This young artist was signed in "Young Pretenders" squad, another Jakarta's team that bringin in some Nu-Disco, italodisco, and French Electro that sounds so thicky in some of Ken Adhitya sets itself. He already did some gigs before and ofcourse the crowds are so hype and hectic, everything mixed up so nice and clear in his sets that makes the eclectic crwods dancin like a waves at that time :p He also produce some great tunes too influenced by Aeroplane, Cut Copy, Daniele Baldelli,Todd terje, ed bangers, even AC/DC, how its gonna be then if its all pluged in as one?just like what i said before, we could touch some nu-disco, italo, and a some french electrotrash even guitars distortion sounds on it (it means = whopwhopwhop!!!)..So just keep it up dude!!

Set that makes me dancing in my bedroom :D
